Olaf Flak (PhD, engineer)
I am an assosiate professor in management sciences (PhD) and an electronics engineer. I have always been interested in robotics, and for the past 15 years I have been involved in the search for a way to construct a robot manager. I am the creator of online managerial tools on the TransistorsHead.com platform, aimed at monitoring manager’s performance and determining their behavior patterns, and then automating them and replacing the human manager with a robot manager.
To do this, I developed a methodology for studying the organizational reality in which the robot manager is to work. I described it in the book “System of organizational terms. A methodological concept for the study of organizational reality” (Katowice: Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, pages 478, ISBN 978-83-226-3322-9).

I am also the co-author of the original enterprise competitiveness research tools, available at konkurencyjniprzetrwaja.pl and sensorium24.com, as well as the co-author of the books: “Human resource management system in the enterprise”, “Training project management”, “Competitiveness of enterprises – concepts, definitions, models”, “Competitive will survive”. Author of more than 100 scientific articles in the field of management and dozens of articles in business journals and the pracuj.pl portal.
I graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice (Management direction) and the Silesian University of Technology (Electronics and Telecommunications direction). I gained professional experience at Ford Motor Company in Cologne and ING Bank Śląski. For 5 years I co-founded the recruitment portal Pracuj.pl. For 6 years I was Vice Dean for Organization and Internationalization at the K. Kieslowski Film School (University of Silesia in Katowice), manager of the “Team Management Automation” project at the University of Siegen and the University of Lubeck, aimed at automating the work of a team manager and replacing him with a robot. I am a three-time scholarship holder of DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst), Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists) at the University of Siegen and the University of Lubeck. I specialize in project management, managerial techniques and tools, and human resource management.
I have been involved with training and consulting for more than a dozen years. I conduct training courses in managerial techniques, management by objectives, team building, project management, business reorganization, as well as consulting projects in the field of competence level assessment, job evaluation, creation of employee evaluation and incentive systems, creation of career paths, Assessment/Development Center and development programs for employees and managers.
